Double effect
The ARTEK K1 is an oil-pneumatic type shock absorber.
The spring is replaced by a double effect piston containing oil and gas.
Thus from the very fi rst centimetres of movement, the absorber is highly sensitive, the effort required increases as the
absorber is compressed, and so the risk of bottoming is reduced.
This model has the advantage to have a double guidance and a double lamination.
A double effect piston (= 2 pistons) restrains decompression and compression, the fact of having a double lamination also
improves the absorption of shocks during the decompression.
Guidance takes place at two points, at the seal carrier and at the piston which has a guide ring, life of the cylinder is
increased.
Better road handling, modern design, attractive colouring should make this shock absorber a reference.
